Was up at our fleet department the other day to visit supplies to get some new kit (well new size anyway...) and noticed that the new TPT cars awaiting livery had nice new lightbars, nice and thin in comparison to current the things. Seems Surrey have finally run out of recycled lightbars or at least decided to by new kit for the TPT/Borough cars! Took a couple of poor quality mobile pics as I knew I couldnt post without a pic Yet to see any out on borough/TPT bases tho.

It's not really the kinda thing the PSNI like to make into the news, as they dont like to admit that we need these things, but here it is. The 'Pangolin armoured public order vehicle' (because ordinary public order situations require ballistic protection??) I've had a good fart about with one, I have to say it's a vast improvement, awfully new looking though....

My Oppo who is a Firearms skipper, MMS'd me these pictures of the new 530d as it was delivered to Netley yesterday. The car will be going to the RPU for 2 weeks. They had a brief from the BMW Authority team, as well as ANPR it is fitted with a trial speed camera. sorry for the poor quality pictures. I will get him to get some better pictures in the week. Busa

Hi all I have recently noticed that Gloucestershire Police have new VU11 registration, marked Armed Response Vehicles Does anyone have any pictures of these? The major difference between these and the old ones, is that these have the blue and fluorescent yellow battenburg markings, as supposed to the old white and yellow I'm not even 100% sure that GlosPol have received these as I haven't been on duty for quite some time, but the VU11 registration indicates that they are GlosPol (previously VX57) Cheers Ryan

Just had training on this. It's been lent to us as a demo vehicle. Little different from what we usually use...

A strange one, We've had a 57plate Focus estate at our Nick for a while now, it is a fully marked. There is a small black button on the gearstick that noone can find a use for, it's definately not a Ford item. We've thought of allsorts of different uses for it- PTT button Siren changer Nitrus booster But it doesn't seem to do anything, does anyone know of what this button may be for?
