Officers and civilian staff in Sussex have been told not to power up their personal phones, iPods and other electrical items at work in the hope of slashing electricity bills. The force must find £50 million worth of savings from its overall budget by 2015 and has already cut energy bills by 10 per cent. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/law-and-order/8981018/Police-banned-from-charging-their-phones-that-is.html How do you contact station then, charge phone in vehicle you drive maybe.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-15923875 I've actually seen this clip and I have to say it is truly horrendous. (I understand it's on YouTube) The abuse coming out of this woman's mouth is just appalling not only in its racist content but also the language - I lost count of how many times she used the 'F' word. What a wonderful example she is setting the child who was sat on her lap. I understand she has been arrested by BTP. I think the evidence speaks for itself.

The recent horrific case of Anuj Bidve being shot dead and the parents finding out about the death of their 23 year old son through facebook was very sad indeed. If its isnt bad enough getting news of your child dying - finding out through Facebook is just crazy! We lost our son in December 2010 - also 23. We only found out through Facebook. The police was no help and never contacted us. No apologies either. Its alright for them to say they cant control Social Media - but are they even trying? In our case it wasnt murder - our son was in bed in his University dorm room. Absoluelty crazy how the police dealt with it. SH

'We're so sorry' A senior police chief apologised today to the devastated father of student gunned down in an apparent 'hate crime' attack after he learnt his son had been brutally murdered through Facebook. Anuj Bidve, 23, was shot at point-blank range after he and a group of friends strayed into a deprived area of Salford, Greater Manchester, in the early hours of Boxing Day. http://www.dailymail...cebook.html?ITO I see a murder take place put it up on Facebook, the world sees it within 5 Minutes of murder being spotted. Police on the other hand must be certain as to who it is, find out where parents are, in this instance get a hold of Inte…
