Police forces across Britain are being forced to deal with petty squabbles on Facebook, Twitter and other social network sites every day when they could be tackling more serious crimes. Officers say they are wasting valuable time and resources tackling internet users directing abuse at each other. Tucked away in the Times (Page 46 on Saturday 27th Oct) there was a short article about the former police blogger Nightjack. He has successfully sued the Times after one of their journos unlawfully hacking his email thereby unmasking him, something they consistently denied doing until - oops - it all came out at the Leveson enquiry. He managed £42k plus his legal expenses and an apology. He received his award on the 8th Octoberbut the Times has waited three weeks. Had he been a vacuous celeb his payout might have been quite a bit more. Whatever, I'm very pleased for him.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2224216/England-schoolboy-rugby-star-locked--filming-police-having-break-bar-duty.html Is this another DM anti police rant, should it begin ''Once upon a time in Wiltshire''. I can just see this jumped up little 20 year old, who thinks he can drink, and hold it, trying to wined up the police officers, and getting arrested for being a twat. On the other hand the story could be true(IMHO very unlikely), if he was innocent why pay the £80 FPN.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2223422/Speeding-driver-Shehzad-Munir-killed-father-hit-speeds-155mph-showing-attempt-win-girlfriend.html he should have got ten years, just another arrogant arse with no regard for anyone else. His solicitor says he has had this hanging over him for two years and is depressed, good. Lets hope he has a really miserable time inside.

http://www.no2abuse.com/index.php/blogs/comments/mps-is-any-child-safe-check-this-list-out/ carrying on from the Saville episode, I found this very interesting list. It appears that some MP's leave more than a lot to be desired.

With the news that yet another police officer has taken his own life, one wonders if we shouldn't be taking a look at why so many feel that death is preferable to a PSD investigation and/or Court case.

It does not mention it in the below article, but both officers pleaded not guilty earlier today and will stand trial. Two Metropolitan Police officers are to be charged with a racially aggravated public order offence over comments they allegedly made while on duty. PC David Hair and PC Kevin Hughes, who both serve in the borough of Newham in east London, are accused of making the comments in front of other officers. The decision to charge the officers came after an investigation by the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) following a referral of the complaints in April. PC Hair, 40, faces two public order offences, one of which is racially aggravated, on Fe…
