Two-thirds of the public would walk on by if they saw a group of teenagers drinking and verbally abusing passers-by in the street, a survey suggests. Only 6% of the 1,784 people in England, Wales and Scotland surveyed by YouGov said they would definitely intervene. A further 21% said they probably would. The think tank Policy Exchange paid for the survey and called for "citizen police academies" to be set up. They could offer lessons in making citizens' arrests, it said. The survey found that, among those questioned, people in Scotland were the most likely to step in, while those in London were the least likely. It also suggested that more than a third of adults - 36…

These arrogant buggers in the House of Commons trying to stop us knowing what they are claiming in expences, led by that Midget Bercow. If they had nothing to hide they wouldn't care if we did know, but obviously some, including Bercow, must have something they don't want us to know about. Keep at it Telegraph.

Sky News at 1pm have announced the death of Patrick Moore, the world-renowned astronomer, at the age of 89. It seems not only was he a character of considerable note - perhaps the consumate English eccentric - but he also lied about his age to join the RAF as aircrew during WW2. No doubt he will be now looking down rather than up towards the sky. May he Rest In Peace.
