POLICE vehicles, stations and headed notepaper could be emblazoned with the logos of sponsors, if plans to seek financial sponsorship from private companies go ahead in Dorset. Police Federation chairman Clive Chamberlain says Dorset is the lowest funded police force in the country and the county’s new Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) Martyn Underhill is being driven to consider sponsorship out of “desperation”. He said: “If Dorset were to receive the average national funding per capita, we would have an extra £16m this year – instead since 2007 we have lost 340 officers with a projected total future loss of 468, which equates to 31 per cent of our force.” Mr Underh…

I was up fairly early for me this morning at around 6:30 and was half watching BBC News and i saw some images about some graffeti that had been sprayed on a war memorial. It might have been some kind of animal war memorial. Anyway it had 'Islam' in big red letters and a lot of the inscriptions had been lined through in red paint. I've just been looking online and I can't see any mention of it on any news sites. Did I just catch the end of a historical report or what?

I can't think of a suitable title so I shall leave it with the name of the person who has poked the wasps nest. I'm trying to word this correctly and carefully but reading the unedited extract of the book, I do see his point. Mr Ross has said that in some cases, rape is not simply rape. From what I can gather, it seems he means there are more blurred lines for the victim in a case where it is the partner who has raped him/her instead of it being a case of 'stranger rape'. Feelings of blame, reading too much in to it and trying to shrug it off as a 'he didn't mean it' situation. On another angle, this is one extract from his book. ‘Our forebears might be as…

if true then this seems on the face of to be street robbery ,any thoughts or explanations on this one as i feel gravely concerned if what i am reading is true Police swoop on the homeless taking sleeping bags and food parcels in co-ordinated raids in Redbridge Adam Jaskowiak was one of the men targeted and said he pleaded with police to be able to keep his things but was ignored. He was sleeping with eight other people finding shelter for the night in the former Ilford Baths in High Road, Ilford. All of their belongings were bundled into a police car leaving the men, one in his 60s, stunned. A police chief told the Recorder the operation was carried out to “…

MI5 asked Woolwich murder suspect Michael Adebolajo if he wanted to work for them about six months before the killing, a childhood friend has said. Abu Nusaybah told BBC Newsnight his friend - one of two men arrested after Drummer Lee Rigby's murder in south-east London on Wednesday - had rejected the approach from the security service. The BBC could not obtain any confirmation from Whitehall sources. Mr Nusaybah was arrested at the BBC after giving the interview. The Met Police said a 31-year-old man had been arrested at 21:30 BST on Friday in relation to suspected terrorism offences and search warrants were being executed at two homes in east London. The arres…

Whats the opinions on this? KENT Police and Crime Commissioner, Ann Barnes, will acknowledge volunteer Special Constables by arranging for them not to have to pay the police part of the council tax. Kent has around 350 Special Constabulary volunteers. They have full police powers and contribute around 64,000 hours a year to help protect and serve the people of Kent. They often work alongside police officers and police community support officers in visible and community policing. The funding will be in place from April 2014 onwards and will apply to all Special Constables who have provided two years of service and meet other criteria. The initiative from the Commission…
