Jeremy Bamber killed five family members in 1985. Photo: Paul Faith/PA WireEuropean judges have ruled that life can never mean life for prisoners because it is a breach of human rights. The sentences of murderers Jeremy Bamber, Douglas Vinter and Peter Moore amount to "inhuman and degrading treatment", the European Court of Human Rights said. Whole-lifers should be entitled to a review of their sentence 25 years into their term at the very latest, the Grand Chamber of the Strasbourg-based court said. ITV News deputy political editor Chris Ship reports: Judges ruled by 16 to one that there had to be possibilities of both a release and review of the sentence. However…

Once again, a completely fair article regarding police use of force based off a very short video that does not show what happened leading up to him being tasered or the steps made afterwards to arrest the male involved. Perhaps the police should have simply been more polite? Quite liked the above quote. I didn't know that being surrounded by three officers leads to individuals being unable to move? Don't think I was taught that in safety training... Nurses on police patrols to deal with mental health casesNurses are to go on patrol with four police forces across England to improve responses to mental health emergencies. The pilot scheme aims to ensure fewer people with mental health problems are detained in the wrong environment, the government says. Street triage teams are to be tested in the Derbyshire, Devon & Cornwall, North Yorkshire and Sussex force areas. The patrols are part of an initiative funded by the Department of Health and backed by the Home Office. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-23193571 Three guns were found in the Golf - a Colt .45 calibre pistol, a Baikal pistol and a smaller gun that was described as looking like a key fob. It may sound harsh, but live by the sword...... The other thing is 2005? Eight years to investigate? Too long IMHO.

Police should be more polite and thoughtful to renew their relationship with members of the public, Damian Green has said. Justice Minister Damian Green Photo: ANDREW CROWLEY The Policing minister also raised the prospect of the police, fire and ambulance service merging into a single emergency service. The comments come after David Cameron said that Britain only had a "relatively honest police force" in comments which were seen as showing how far esteem for the police has fallen since the 1950s when the TV series 'Dixon of Dock Green' reflected people's respectful view of them. In a speech to the Reform think tank on Monday, Mr Green said officers should learn…
