This is the moment that a police whistleblower, who was forced to resign after raising doubts about crime figures, called LBC to confront the Met Police Commissioner. - WATCH: Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe on LBC in full PC James Patrick had said crime figures were manipulated and sexual offences were being under-reported by 22-25%. Last month, PC Patrick left the force after being subjected to disciplinary proceedings. He called Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe on his LBC phone-in to ask if the Met were planning to overhaul their procedures on whistleblowers to avoid what he had to go through. Sir Bernard responded: "We're always prepared to do that. Each case, as you will know s…

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-nottinghamshire-26988481 What a stupid woman to pass on confidential information to third parties and now out of a job and PC Kelly Hinds, 29, who was based at Sutton-in-Ashfield, is alleged to have used police systems to access information to commit offences between 2009 and 2013. Her case is not connected to that of the three other officers when Charges against three Nottinghamshire police officers for computer misuse and data protection have been dropped. .

When we don't charge someone with rape or sexual assault we are accused or not taking the offence seriously but when when the suspect is found not guilty in court then people ask questions along the lines of 'how did this get to court,' although to be fair teh CPS is also getting a lot of stick as well. Dammed when we don't and dammed when we don't, and dammed seemingly by a lot of Tories in particular who seem to be enjoying the feeling that they are putting us back in our place. Its also quite amusing to see so many Tories coming out now offering support and saying publicly that they knew all along that Evans was not guilty. Hopefully the jury did reach the right ver…

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-27019782 Edit: Fix Quote. So is an out of court settlement suitable here, or does it just suggest that we can all fare dodge, then just simply pay back the fair if we get found out?

PC Ian Dibell posthumously awarded George Medal for gallantry Pc Ian Dibell has been awarded the George Medal for gallantry for his actions on the day he lost his life tackling a gunman in Clacton. He is the first police officer in the country to receive the award in 21 years and the first ever in Essex. Chief Constable Stephen Kavanagh, said: “Essex Police could not be more proud to learn that Police Constable Ian Dibell has been awarded the George Medal. “This award ranks PC Dibell, quite rightly, as one of the bravest people in the country. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-26986411 Do Tory MPs really need a code of conduct to stop them bullying their employees? Really? In this day and age? And it's bloody voluntary..........so.........they can continue to bully their staff if they feel like it, with impunity. Appalling................oddly, or at least I thought it was odd, that a report says young men are more likely to be sexually harrassed than women in Parliament....... Maybe that's because 'drunken over-familiarity' is more commonplace than one might think?

Something isn't right here. The officer seems to have (from the sound of it, unprofessionally) continued to visit the woman at her home; presumably he wasn't on-duty at the time. Then the woman melodramatically emails Sir Peter informing him of her "plight" and threatening to go public if he doesn't act. Then, I think, reality sets in and she emails him to retract her statement. By this time it's too late and Constable Leeming is dragged before the courts, his reputation in tatters, and now the story has changed again to that of a victim. Nowhere in the story does it mention he had been remanded in custody, which often happens in rape cases, so there can't have been tha…
