Boy, 16, arrested over three shootings in Sheffield A boy aged 16 is in police custody this morning after being arrested over three shootings in Sheffield. Three separate shootings – which detectives say are linked – were reported to police by worried locals in Parson Cross and Southey Green on Monday night. A 13-year-old girl was injured in one of the attacks after a gun was blasted at a house. The schoolgirl was in a property on Deerlands Avenue when it was targeted by a gunman who fired at the door. A police officer has been suspended after a video posted online appeared to show him threatening to "knock out" a woman in Stoke-on-Trent. The footage seems to show an argument between a group of people and some officers outside a nightclub in Hanley. Police were called to the Individual Bar in Trinity Street at 02:00 BST on Sunday after reports of disorder. A 73-year-old woman has died days after being bitten by a police dog. Irene Collins, of Park End, Teesside, was bitten several times about the body by the German shepherd as Cleveland Police searched for a male suspect near Penrith Road on Wednesday. She was taken to James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, but the force has confirmed she died at the weekend. The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) will now decide how the incident should be investigated.
