http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-29771277 I have every sympathy for families whose relatives have died following interaction with the police but I started this thread for a different reason and that is to discuss the bias of the BBC news story. The BBC has used very emotive and biased language when it stated that 'family members and friends of people killed in police custody.' The use of the word killed implies a deliberate act as if the police had set out to kill the detained person. It then goes on to use a quote calling for police to be 'held accountable' again implying that something was done wrong. The IPCC investigation is still on goin…

Chief Constable Justine Curran wrote to headteachers asking them to be more lenient in allowing police to take their children out of school after stricter rules were bought in to prevent parents from doing so. Headtea…

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2824862/Son-ordered-pay-thousands-locum-GP-killed-father-drugs-overdose-sued-called-animal.html It seems that it is not only in UK that justice can be very strange in the way it deals with situations! The interesting thing about this story is towards the end where it states that although a European Arrest Warrant was issued in UK, it could not be executed because proceedings had already started in Germany - where a 9 months suspended sentence and a GBP4000 or so fine were the punishments for killing a patient!
