A man from West Yorkshire has been convicted of firearms and drugs offences as part of a National Crime Agency investigation. Carl O’Flaherty, aged 35, of Leysolme Terrace, Leeds, appeared at Leeds Crown Court yesterday (Monday), where he pleaded guilty to conspiring to supply class. A drugs, possessing two illegal firearms, possessing firearms without certificates, and possession of ammunition. He is next due to appear at Leeds Crown Court on 10 August. More than £1 million worth of assets have been recovered by the National Crime Agency (NCA) following a civil recovery investigation into a Nigerian fraudster and his long-term British partner, who both led extravagant lifestyles despite their combined declared annual income never exceeding £49,000. A trio from Birmingham arrested as part of National Crime Agency led Operation Venetic have been charged with drugs and firearms offences, after officers seized a sub-machine gun, drugs and cash. Michael Earp, 29, of Pear Tree Road, Shard End, Danyal Aziz, 26, of Pelham Road, Stechford and Nicole Rhone, 26, of Yardley Green Road, Bordesley, have all been charged.
