Two fraudsters behind an 'abysmal' scam were paid to take driving tests on behalf of dozens of cheats - but failed most of them. Ali Abdallah, 28, and Muktar Nuren, 22, offered their services on a 'no pass, no fee' basis, then proceeded to fail 33 of the 43 tests they completed. They passed just 10 of 27 practical tests and three of 16 theory exams. Benjamin Myers, acting for Nuren, said 'it's surprising anyone wanted to use these defendants', while Abdallah's own lawyer, Joe Boyd, described the pair's efforts as 'abysmal' and labelled their scam 'spectacularly unsophisticated'.
