He is described as being of mixed race, slim and 5ft (1.52m) tall, with thick shoulder-length dark hair. Police said they were searching the River Stort in Bishop's Stortford. His family are "extremely concerned", they added. Jordan was last seen wearing jeans, a black hooded top and trainers with a lime stripe on the side. Hi, I heard on the news yesterday that two 10 year old boys were being presecuted for raping an under 13 year old. Have I heard correctly? Two 10 years olds? :D This is shocking, truly shocking. But it begs the question of did they comprehend what they were doing? Legally they were, but still... I can't get over this one. I can't decide whether to belive they're extremely evil young boys, or it was a complete and disasterous misunderstanding. also, why are/were there different laws for the sexual assault of different aged girls? Surely all rapes should be classed as the same evil crime i.e having sex with someone under the age of 16 (as a legal adult) is statutory r…

Britain's tiniest yob has been slapped with an Asbo after terrorising residents in his town, drunkenly abusing people, attacking houses and climbing on rooftops. Liam Wilkinson might stand just 3ft 9in tall - the height of the average six-year-old - but his behaviour has infuriated neighbours, who are sick of the 19-year-old's drunken rampages. Magistrates in Chorley, Lancashire, heard yesterday how he blighted his local community by abusing and threatening locals after booze binges, damaging property, attacking neighbours' houses and climbing on rooftops. Police were called in to deal with the pint sized teenager after he rampaged through gardens hurling eggs and ston…

Costly case: A caterer told the court that Hasanali Khoja ate pork A Muslim chef who lost a claim of religious discrimination against Scotland Yard after complaining he was forced to cook sausages and bacon faces a legal bill of more than £75,000. Hasanali Khoja accused the Metropolitan Police of failing to consider his Islamic beliefs when he was asked to handle pork products as a catering manager at a police station. The £23,000-a-year chef claimed suggestions by his bosses that he should wear gloves and use tongs left him 'stressed and humiliated'. Muslims are banned from eating pork under Islamic law. But Mr Khoja, 62, lost his claim in May after a police empl…

An ex-police officer who alleged she was bullied because of her "posh" background has lost her claim for unfair dismissal against Surrey Police. An employment tribunal in Croydon, rejected Alison Wheeler's claims that her sacking was "sexist and ageist". Former opera singer Miss Wheeler, from East Molesey, now a singing teacher, was seeking £350,000 compensation. Assistant Chief Constable Ian Dyson branded the case as "scurrilous" and said it "cost the force considerably". Former public schoolgirl Ms Wheeler gained a diploma from Trinity College of Music in London and worked as a mezzo soprano for 10 years before joining Surrey Police in January 2006. Far from di…

Manchester United had more fans arrested for hooliganism last season than any other Premier League club, according to Home Office figures. Some 3,752 arrests were made in total across the football league, a fall of two per cent on the previous season, with arrests being made at one-third of all matches. But arrests for racist chanting rose from 13 to 23, while pitch invasions rose from 203 to 245. United fans accounted for 185 of the 1,600 top-flight fans arrested during the 2008-09 season, with Newcastle second on 144 and Everton third on 139. By contrast, just 13 Fulham fans were arrested during the season. Outside the Premier League, Leeds and Cardiff saw the most…

A clergyman has been criticised as 'highly irresponsible' after advising his congregation to shoplift following his Nativity sermon. Father Tim Jones, 41, broke off from his traditional annual sermon yesterday to tell his flock that stealing from large chains is sometimes the best option for vulnerable people. It is far better for people desperate during the recession to shoplift than turn to 'prostitution, mugging or burglary', he said. The married father-of-two insisted his unusual advice did not break the Bible commandment 'Thou shalt not steal' - because God's love for the poor outweighs his love for the rich. But the minister's controversial sermon at St Lawrence…
