A mysterious organisation called Foundation X has offered the British Government £5billion and wants nothing in return, according to a Tory peer. Read more: http://www.dailymail...l#ixzz14RzOBRai I would love to believe this, but i fear a huge Police investigation once the full story has come out. "it will put up money for funding hospitals, schools and the building of Crossrail,'" Why not the Police, hospitals have been ring fenced, so please do hand say 1 Billion to Police, Half a million to some person who brings up odd subjects on Police forums. Wow, i thought at first a complete joke from the DM. But http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/Politics/Foundation-X…

A Scotland Yard marksman who shot at Mark Saunders has been put under investigation over claims he inserted song titles into his evidence during the inquest into the barrister's death. The officer, known only as AZ8, was reprimanded when evidence of his actions emerged during the inquest into the 32-year-old's death at the hands of police during an armed siege. But the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) said it will now manage a further police inquiry into what effect this had on the officer's testimony and on proceedings overall. An IPCC spokeswoman said Metropolitan Police referred the matter to the watchdog on October 29, two days after the officer gave…

The armed unit and officers with police dogs cleared an area of around 500 yards from the alleged shooting, a witness said. A Metropolitan Police spokesman said an officer had suffered a thigh injury, but did not confirm whether it was linked to the reported shooting. He said: "Officers were called to reports of shots fired at The Cut, SE1, at 3.02pm. "Local officers and firearms officers…

Victim's Commissioner: End jury trials for minor crimes. The right to trial by jury for many lesser offences should be ended in England and Wales, the Commissioner for Victims of Crime has proposed http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-11680382 An interesting article and what appears to be a pretty good idea. Though im sure it will face massive opposition. i thought this was quite interesting / shocking: "But the lower court sends 60,000 of them to Crown Court every year with a further 9,000 defendants also asking for jury trial." So thats 69,000. "In 50,000 of the cases sent to Crown Courts, defendants eventually plead guilty, wasting £15m of the Crown Prosecution Servi…
