Red-faced motorway contractors watched in horror as bogus workers stole their van – containing speed cameras worth £32,000. The thieves struck inside a Highways Agency compound close to Railway Road in Hollinwood, Oldham. A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said the driver left the vehicle with keys still in the ignition. Two thieves posing as workmen in high-visibility jackets were seen to get into the car and drive off. It is understood eight temporary speed cameras worth a total of £32,000 were inside the vehicle. My husband has just come home and told me that Derbyshire have announced today that SNT officers will not be getting any priority payment this year, but that sergeants will be getting it and those that sit on their big fat arses in the offices will be getting it just bloody typical, everyone else works their trollies off and the lazy bastards get the benefit

Gary Alcock, 28, attacked Violet Mullen when her crying interrupted his fun on an Xbox. The horrific assault caused "catastrophic" internal injuries, including cracked ribs and brain damage. Pc killing accused due in court Five men accused of the gun murder of a police officer in West Yorkshire are due at Leeds Crown Court. Pc Sharon Beshenivsky, 38, was shot in Bradford on 18 November last year after responding to an alarm call at a travel agents. Yusuf Abdillh Jama, 19, Mussaker Imtiaz Shah, Raza Haq Aslam, Faisal Razzaq, all 24, and Hassan Razzaq, aged 25, face murder, robbery and gun charges.
