http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-merseyside-12057786 A serving Merseyside Police officer has been arrested following allegations he has committed sex crimes. A force spokeswoman said the 42-year-old from Wirral was arrested earlier this month on suspicion of offences under the Sexual Offences Act. He was questioned by detectives before being released later the same day on police bail pending further inquiries. The officer has been suspended while the allegations are investigated, the force said.

As people are aware this topic has been making Headlines for years, but over the last few weeks things have picked up again. What do people really think on this matter? If you get banged up should you lose your right to vote?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-tyne-12110855 The above story shows the issues facing anyone trying to get help and support these days What it does show is how the Federation like for example local police authorities, superintendents association, ACPO are out to look after themselves and no one else unelected and unaccountable Quotes are that Mckeever has tried to contact David Rathband without success, now i don't think over the last few weeks he has been difficult to locate with his recovery and treatment etc, th local fed believe there may be some concerns but we need to find out what they are it beggars belief that after such a high profile incident the seve…

Police have told residents to stop putting wire mesh on their garden shed windows – because they could be sued if a burglar is injured. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/outdoors/8318985/Shed-owners-warned-wire-on-windows-could-hurt-burglars.html To start with Police can only but advise on the law. Regard it disregard it, so Police cannot be blamed for those who create this daft idea. "She said: “We had some tools stolen every now and again, but this time they took the entire shed – I couldn’t believe it.â€" Then mesh is not going to help anyway. See, that is what i said. "'We are advising people to do whatever they can to protect their property, but wire me…

A homeless man who admitted begging in Belfast has been jailed for a week after being unable to pay a fine. Piotr Dabrowski, 58, could not pay the £80 imposed for the offence when he appeared at the city's Magistrates Court. The district judge refused to give him a conditional discharge saying he had two other begging convictions and that it was clear they had not deterred him. Link Source Homeless and poor is one thing. Chronically sitting and sponging of the public, probably spending it on booze. This guy was warned not to go into the city centre and beg over and over again Perhaps he will listen now.

Traditionally, Boy Scouts gain badges for activities such as hill-walking and canoeing. Members of the 1st Shipston Scout pack, however, have earned themselves a more unusual one: traffic cop. Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1348810/Boy-scouts-traffic-police-Packs-issue-speeding-drivers-warnings.html#ixzz1EPgxw0qi I look forward to being stopped by a 8 year old warned about my driving ability's. Two things come to mind, firstly the embarrassment of having to take a lecture from someone who knows nothing about driving, except what he has been told, speeding is dangerous no matter what the conditions are. Secondly this underage future driver will be d…

http://www.portsmout...again_1_2424683 A gang whose cannabis factory was busted by police promptly started another drugs-growing enterprise after being given bail. Brothers James and Daniel Plunkett grew hundreds of cannabis plants at an abandoned property in Hayling Island and then at a house in Portsmouth. A third man, their friend Neil Brooks, acted as a gardener and helped with the set-up of the nurseries, which yielded £500,000 worth of cannabis a year Acting on a tip-off from a member of the public, police raided the first factory, at Yacht Haven in Hayling Island, arriving just in time as the gang were busy dismantling the operation. Officers found a van load…

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-wiltshire-12068624 Seems that a not guilty verdict, delivered in a court of law has no worth here at all. As one elsewhere has commented, double jeopardy is alive and kicking here. As I stated before, there but for the grace of God go many of us. I hear the ACC who made damning comments prior to PS Andrew's acquittal on appeal has a chequered past himself - http://lifeloom.com/I4Sekar.htm I sense opposing views on this, but having worked (and still working) in the custody environment, I have a great deal of sympathy for PS Andrews
