i have wanted to do this since i was 18 years old but went in the army so i decided to try and join now so can people tell me what to expect from every thing

Hi guys and gals, I am coming up to the last month of my training and myself and all of my group are panicking a little about whats just around the corner for us! So my question is this..... What can we expect to go through on pre patrol weekend and what the ruddy hell do we need to revise for the final exam? We have been told snippets but as i have said no one is really sure whats coming!! cheers in advance

Ola... Im wondering if anyone has or is due to finish there training within west yorkshire, and could possibly shed some light on how long the course takes. Also, any ideas to what days you are supposed to attend and weather or not they are flexible on attendance due to work commitment.. Thanks......

Woohoo! Anyone else get the long awaited letter this morning? It's now official then...after the introduction next week the course starts on 5 March. the next cohort after that will start on 7 May. Who else is going along next Wednesday? Dave

Hi everyone, I had a few questions regarding the medical and would be grateful if you could possibly help. In WYP, is there a maximum amount of time that you are allowed to take off as sick leave (from work) which will affect a Specials application? If so, would you automatically be rejected if you have exceeded this limit? How is the eyesight test conducted in the medical? Do you have to read off a chart like you do at an Opticians? Thanks for your help in advance

Are travel expenses to training and back reimbursed? And I am having to take a taxi, will they cover the expense for this or not? Thanks.

Hey up..Iv applied to west yorkshire police as a special and passed my assessment and interview 8th December and sent off my vetting details etc on the 29th December. Did anyone else send off there things on or around this time? if so... im wondering if you have heard anything or what the time scales are and weather your medical is done once all the vetting and finances are all ok? ta v much
