Are there any TVP RP officers around or anyone from TVP who is Traffic Savvy for me to pick brains? Its just regarding the TW14’s, Non Endorsable Ticket Books and some offence wordings. Thanks in advance.

Hello all TVP cap your toil at 160 units, after that anything over gets eventually paid to you. This month I had 196 units paid at a total of £619.23 before the taxman/fed/insurance had their due. Dividing 619/196 gives me a rate of £12.63 which doesn't marry up with my current pay point. Payroll have previously told me that they pay us based on what our income was 6 months previously. At that time I was on £26,370, which if we divide by 12 for a monthly income, then 4 for weekly and then 40 for hourly, gives us £13.73. From this I've got a couple of questions: 1. I heard a rumour that toil after the cap is paid back time +1/2 or 1/3 but this do…

Hello. Where would you want to work as a young PC learning their trade? I'm curious as to the difference in day-to-day operational policing between these areas in Thames Valley Police. Bracknell, Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead and Reading. Are some LPA's very quiet? Thanks in advance it's really appreciated.

Hi! I'm due to attend the assessment centre in Sulhamstead in a couple of weeks. Does anyone have any useful info they could share? They've given me a quick break down of what to expect on the day with my interview confirmation ( no sign of a maths test, thankfully!) but was curious of the chances of there being any surprises? Would love to hear from any current specials in the TVP cheers

Hi all. Is there any officers that have a spare room to rent in the Reading area? I am a serving officer myself, not TVP, but work a distorted shift pattern as it stands. Just a place to get my head down and i would head home up north on rest days. Thanks in advance. Sent from my D5833 using Tapatalk

Hello! I have recently applied to join Thames Valley Police as a PCSO. I have completed all the parts of the recruitment process, completing my medical assessment in Oxford, Kidlington 2 weeks ago today. (August 15th). I am now waiting for my vetting and reference checks to be completed and assuming it all goes through, I will hopefully get a phone call about a start date and location! I currently live near Minehead in Somerset with my parents (I'm 21), and I have applied for Berkshire area so will have to relocate! Really looking forward to a new start! Is anyone else in this process and waiting to hear back about a start date? Just wondering how much…

Thought I would breath some life into this forum section. Apparantly there is next to no TVP representation on this site! Anybody else lined up for [at this moment] unspecified Spring/Summer 2016 training intake dates? As far as I am aware they were supposed to do some Interviews in July/August (With the propsect of a 1st December training start date) but I believe these have either been postponed or completed with anybody missing out on that start date to be potentially be next year instead. I've got a Force Interview upcoming for 'October/November' but I am yet to hear anything as of yet in regards to finalised dates for either. Latest is that they are waiting for fi…

A very general question for my TVP colleagues. In your experience, is TVP a good force to work in?

Hi guys, I have my assessment centre coming up in about a month for TVP, and for some reason I am feeling underprepared even though I have continuously practiced and prepared for the assessment centre for a week. After a bit of googling i know quite a bit about the changes to the assessment centre and how the day will plan out. However though, I still have couple of questions in my mind which I could not find an answer to. What is the overall pass mark for the assessment centre? I heard its 50% but i also read it some where else which said it was %60? Also how is the final mark calculated, i.e does interview and role plays have bigger impact on the final score? Ha…
