Guys and Girls, I recently applied to become a special and flew through all the first few tests with the lowest score of 85% however, i managed to fail at the situational judgement hurdle. Is there any way of swatting up or understanding what is exactly expected of me as a special in order to pass this stage? thanks Jason

Hello ! I am currently waiting for the results of my assesment centre day which was on wednesday 7th of august ! I was under the impression our results were being sent out this week as of the 19th .. Did anyone else watch the broadcast of the two WR NRT officers working on Saturday night? It was filmed as a part of the Sussex Police People 10 Live event. I heard about via a mate and watched the 43 minute section yesterday afternoon. They attended an assistance call in support of an HD unit and then attended a domestic. Both officers were really professional, though I was surprised to see two taser officers in one car. Update: Unfortunately several of the recordings have now been removed, probably because locations were mentioned and comms via the radio were all audible...

Hi all When I first started my application for the SCs with Sussex, I read elloelloello's "Rough Guide to Specials Police Training - Sussex Police (Slougham)" and really appreciated the depth and usefulness I found in it. However, seeing as SCs are no longer trained at Slougham, I was wondering if it would be a good idea for another rough guide to be produced? I am due to complete my training soon and go out on active duty for the first time and whilst training is still fresh in my mind, I wondered if it would be beneficial for this force-forum.
