What are the current issues surrounding diversity of culture in Suffolk? I would say the increase of Eastern Europeans.. Any other ideas?

Hi Guys, At the suggestion of 'trip', thought i'd just post a quick message to say hi! I've just applied to Suffolk Specials. This is my second time applying having previously failed on one of the questions in the competency interview at the A/C. I'm hoping i'll do much better this time and smash the interview :D How's life working for the Specials in Suffolk? I hear it is quiet - Not too quiet i hope! I have put my first choice as Newmarket (Where i live - not so sure on this anymore. Anybody else work where they live?) and second as Mildenhall. Anybody on here work in these areas? Well done and thanks to all the Specials from Bury, Bury Rural, Newmarket and Mildenhall who turned out at short notice to assist with cordoning off the centre of the town. it was a very sad sight to see such a historic building destroyed. It made a hell of a bang when the rear of it collapsed into Skinner Street and had the water fairies literally running for their lives. Thankfully none of them were hurt in the collapse. They did a brilliant job in preventing the fire from going into the adjacent buildings, and my special admiration for the poor guy on the top of the turntable ladder who spent hours in a thick pall of smoke spraying thousands of gallons of water on the …

Hey guys, asked this in the normal forum but wondered if could get some force specific help, I'm looking at applying for the specials and reckon I can breeze the fitness test as I play rugby regularly and am on a sports course at college. I am carrying a little bit extra weight but am far from obese. However, due to me playing rugby and being quite into the weights at the gym I am a heavy bloke and am just over the 30 BMI with a height of 6'1". Spoke to the coaches at college and they reckon that's due to a high muscle mass as opposed to being dangerously obese. How important is the BMI for your application if you can breeze the fitness tests? Cheers Cam

It is with regret that the news is announced that Mark Northcott,Special Inspector at Felixtowe, has passed away following a short illness while holidaying abroad. Mark was a genuinely good bloke, who will be sadly missed. All our thoughts and condolences are being conveyed to his family.
