well i am so close now to finishing now 3weeks of training to do and i still have no idea where i am stationed lol. I am really really hoping for mansfield and i cant wait to get out there and do my bit, this is all i have ever wanted to do with my life. I am hoping i can move on up in the special and maybe one day be a regular

How does this work? I would imagine the Council would get the right hump if the officers they had 'paid' for get deployed off to more pressing jobs. Also, where does the £20k go seeing as the officers are not paid, or are they each getting a £1000 bounty??

Hi, I live in West Bridgford and am not sure where to choose to work if I pass the recruitment process. Does anyone work in West Bridgford? It obviously has relatively low crime levels when compared to other parts of Notts and I have never seen any problems with the night time economy so am wondering if it's less interesting/challenging compared to say working the city centre? Has anyone got any advice on this please? PS I'm not from Notts originally and don't have a particularly good knowledge of the area, in terms of how to get from A to B etc. Should this influence my decision?

Hello all, i have been reading around the forums about people filling in a Vetting form?? when in the process of joining do you receive this? and anybody recently joined the specials in the Nottingham who did/didn't receive a vetting form to fill out? Regards Chris

Hi Anybody here expecting to start their training in January? I should be starting mine then on the Sunday. I pick up my uniform in a couple of weeks, not sure what that will consist of though probably trousers and shirts I imagine. Got a decision to make though, which station? I'm not really sure to be honest.

Just been on the Notts website, to look up the competency questions, because I couldn't find my hard copy. Is it just me or has the application form changed to a generic, non-constabulary specific form? Does this mean I have to download a new form to send in, as some of the questions are a bit different.
