Ello Ello I am in the process of asking those nice people at Notts to accept my application from another force as I passed my assessment in May last year and herd that Notts my be recruiting in March/April, which is great as I have always wanted to become a Notts Bobby, just never timed my application right. I have strong ties with Nottinghamshire with most of my family coming from there and still living there, so I hope they see me as a possible recruit. I see allot of people wanting transfers for various reasons but I think you have to have a passion and interest in the force you plan to work for. I have to visit an occupational lung disease specialist next week which is a follow up to my medical because i'm an asthmatic. Does anyone know what i'll have to do or if this is going to stop my application. I've passed all the other stages including the fitness.

Hi all. Is anyone in the same position as me and passed Day 1 assessment centre at Ryton in september, and now waiting on a date for day2 medical and fitness? As i understand it there seems to be alot of people going through the recruitment process with Notts at the minute and when i called up HR they explained that there are intakes in Dec/Jan/March and they are all fully booked up. Im guessing anyone in the same position as me may be waiting for untill the summer for a day 2 date and probably a year from now for a start date! Glenn

1: Do Notts Police issue warrant card holders with the badge? 2: Are Notts planning to issue Tasers? 3: Is PSU training compulsory for all officers or optional? 4: How long does it take to get a Blue Light driving course? 5: Whats the starting pay for a PC after Tax, Pension etc... Ta!

Hi The force specific was looking a bit sparse, so I thought I would try and start some discussions. How are folks progressing with their applications to join Notts Police? I have just passed my medical and am going through vetting at the moment. I have had to jump through more hoops than usual as my parents no longer reside in the uk. I am just having letters regarding my parents residency and conduct translated from the Hungarian Police into English. (and you thought vetting couldnt get any more trying!) Lets hear your experiences and when you are hoping to start.
