Hi all. Just a quick one really. I have the fitness test tomorrow for Nottingham Special and I'm a little worried about my BMI. I'm 6.2" and have always been a big lad. I use the gym regular, I fact I work in one. I've always watched what i eat an kept an eye on my weight but my BMI says 30.2. The letter inviting me to the fitness test says that if my BMI is over 30 I will not be able to take the test. Will they be that strict? If I was pure muscle it'd be way more than 30. Any input would be great. Thanks

Hi! Quite new to the forum and have have previously posted only a couple of posts on here! Just wanted to ask if anybody here is currently a Special in Nottinghamshire, and if they would be able to give some insight into what the role has been like, what different stations people are based at etc. Also wondering how long the process has taken for previous applicants? Hey all I have recently got into the Specials in Nottingham (Central Division), and have been thinking about boots. I know we get a boot allowance, but I already own a good quality pair, almost brand new and wondered what type of boot we have to have? Is there a specific type or is it left up to us? Also, how much is the boot allowance?? Cheers! A

I've one problem and just wanted to find out your view and maybe gain some inside knowledge. I have a Tattoo of my wife’s name which is hidden under my wedding ring. Hi all, Just been driving around near the cricket ground today and noticed that the regs who were policing the event were wearing hi-vis sleeveless vest top type jackets instead of the rainproof ones we are issued. Does anyone know how to go about getting hold of one of these as I normally volunteer for a lot of the summer events and walking around in a rainproof yellow jacket is no fun when the sun is out?
