so esibs what do we all think? i spent the night shift playing with the system and so far its okay, the force just needs to put events on a. Its an easy system to work with and i can see how this is the future. What do you guys and gals thik?

Everyone should be on ESIBS, but just in case people missed it a number of OST re-cert days have been added, plus some other events. Really want to volunteer for the High Sheriff's Guard of Honour but it classes with em-con :/

Hi there, I've been a member on this forum now for about 4 years now but only now have i taken it upon myself to start posting! I have spent countless hours reading other people's post, and we have a very helpful and friendly bunch of people on here! I've noticed that we don't have that many recent posts from new special candidates for Notts in here, and being as though i have my fitness test for the Specials this Sat i was wondering if we have any of you guys in the same process? City officers have a meeting this evening to discuss changes to our duties!! Sounds a little ominous in my opinion, from discussions with regulars they say they may be forcing us to do neighbourhood policing and not be on response.... but thats rumour and not based on any firm evidence.

Just wondering has anyone else been offered a position for the above role?

HR have written to say student officers cannot use car park so where possible use public transport. I live too far away the trains are not viable so where can I park? It is going to work out costly I am guessing!

Hi there anyone else hoping to get onto the January 2014 intake for Nottinghamshire Specials?

Hello I'm considering applying to be a Special in Nottinghamshire. Having read through quite a few posts, I'm realising that I must be among the older applicants. I'm a 47 year old female, and have experience in retail, social services, and more importantly life. Latterly, I have been a full time carer to an elderly relative but that role has been taken over by someone else. Would my age be a stumbling block? I know I can pass the fitness/medical and hopefully the written parts. Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.

Hi PS Members, I am a 18 years of age, I am a Caucasian male Living in Nottinghamshire where I work as an Audio Visual technician for the local school. I have always taken a keen interest in to the Police force since I was about 10 years of age, where I would watch the TV shows, read news and see the local police around my town going about the day to day duties. Now that I am old enough I am really considering joining the Police Force as a Special. The problems I am having are, am I fit enough (e.g. stamina and strength?). What are the minimum requirements I need to be accepted into the force? The final one is do I look, speak and walk the part of a Special Constable? …

Good morning, Does anyone else have their induction this Saturday at the Arrow Centre? Can some explain the days events during induction? I understand it involves taking of DNA and finger prints, but is there anything else? Cheers.

Im at the latter stages of my application to join the regulars and have passed the application, assessment centre, fitness, interview and medical and am just waiting on my drugs test ( which will be fine!) and the force is asking for my sickness history with my current employer. does anyone know the requirements or how many absences are allowed. they ate asking for the previous 3years. thanks in advance.

I have passed the final interview. I was told the training began in August. How long after passing interview did you get dates for fitness/medical etc? I have to give one months notice where I work now so I am thinking if I was lucky enough to get an offer of employment it is going to be a squeeze time wise. Regarding the training - where do notts do their training and is it mon-fri or shifts? How does it work? I have no idea!

Really happy Had a letter informing me I have passed the assessment process. Now waiting for medical and fitness dates. Anyone else waiting for results or just had them?
