Leicestershire Police

Hi all I`m an SC based in Norfolk with IP status, I will be spending more time, due to work in the Leicester/ predominantly Loughborough area and was wondering what the transfer process was for Leicestershire Special Constabulary or who I could contact to be able to observe a duty in the area before I contacted my chain of command. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Legalmedic

Hi guys, I have applied to Leicestershire Specials, hoping for an intake this year if I am successful. Anyone else recently applied? I opted for Leicestershire as they are my home county, plus they seem to have managed their finances reasonably well, recruiting regs from their Specials to fill the spots left through natural wastage.

Hi .... Just wondering whether any members were succesfull during the recent internal recruitment campaign and have been allocated a cohort pending fitness and medical tests. After two years of being a Special, I have been placed in the pool with a view to starting in November 2012 .. I'm so excited.

Hello Everyone, Hope all is well! Along with my thanks but no thanks letter from BTP this morning, I also got a letter from Leicestershire Constabulary saying that further to my application for a Switchboard Operator role, I have been selected to attend an interview on the 19th September!!! Wow! Wasn't expecting that! Haha! Tom

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone had any information regarding police staff assessments? I'm thinking that It can't be as difficult as special or regular AC style assessments? Maybe it's just a psychometric tests? I was not aware of this stage for police staff and I think that the position is a new role for the force as they are recruiting 20 people. Is there anyone else who has this assessment next week? Trying to work out when interviews would be and when the start date could be. Thanks for your help! Jotas

Hi everyone, My names Joe Dibb and im 18 years old and live in loughborough. i was called this morning by recruitment to tell me i have passed the assessment stage and to arrange a fitness test which will be next Monday. I was just wondering what would happen if you fail the fitness test the first time? will you have to go through the whole application and interview again? Cheers Joe

Hi there I'm new here - just got my letter stating I had passed the short listing stage. It states the next stage of the recruitment process is for me to attend an assessment process and fitness test. Couple of questions on this, what does the assessment process involve? Thinking I should start swotting up... The fitness test is 6.5 bleep test and a push pull test. Is this correct and what is the push pull test up to? Are these on seperate days? The letter makes it sound as though they are both on the same day.... Thanks a lot

I've heard we may be having Duty Sheet? Does anyone know what Duty Sheet is all about and do any of you know if other forces use it? O by the way I'm new to the site.
