Twenty-eight people were arrested between Christmas Eve and 29 December, taking the total to 109 since the beginning of December. Drivers who tested positive stand to lose their licence and pay a fine of up to £5,000 if convicted. Across the UK, 380 people died in road accident involving drink drivers in 2010.

Hi all, can anyone confirm or give details what the force policy is when either A) if you are training on one day, can you perform duties the nite prior and B) if you have done a training session at FHQ can you perform duties straight after? this is after the attestation and just an additional course for instance. just needed to know as didin't want to be breaking any policy if for example i do 8hrs training then 10hrs duty = 18 hr police work in one day without a certain amount of rest, if anyone has any info, please advise, thank's

Hey guys. I'm a trainee special with Leicestershire and I live in the NL LPU area (within walking distance of the station). Obviously training is at FHQ but it's a little far for me to travel (effectively) from NL to FHQ to check my force e-mails during training. Obviously I can do NCALT from home but I would like to be able to access intranet (so I can get up to speed with Op Info etc.) and e-mail at a time other than during training days as we have been told to expect e-mails from our SOs in the next few days/week. We have been told that we can use our fob and ASSA to gain access to IT at any station but obviously I don't want to just rock up at NL and start asking f…

Hey guys I got a letter two weeks ago informing me that i was being considered for the February 2011 training intake, (was kind of hoping to get October) is anyone else out there at this stage aswell ?? P.s how long does one have to wait before having a place confirmed for them on the intake?

Does anyone know if Leicestershire are accepting transferees anytime soon?

I'm a probationer in Leicester, working in the city. I recently sat in on a Q&A session with the newest intake of recruits at Beaumont Leys. Quite a few intelligent questions asked, hope I was able to give some useful advice/info. If any 'newbies' (and believe me, I remember how it feels!) want to ask anythinkg in a more anonymous way, please feel free to ask. Hello! Firstly is anybody going to be a force HQ on the 25/04 for a fitness test? Secondly has anyone recieved the pack informing them of a potential start date on 22nd June? If so when did you get your letter? I got mine on the 11/04 and they want it returned on the 14/04 ( at the latest to be in with a chance ) Ive already had a moan once but 3 days is ridiculous when one is a Sunday and the other a Bank holiday. Anybody else in the same position

Not sure if this is the right place or not but just wondered if anyone else is on the March 30th Intake. I've been assigned to the South BCU.

Just wondering if anyone knows about any start dates comming up in the next few months. Ive completed all the application stages just waiting on the all clear and a letter of appointment.
