Hi there, I live and work in an area where their are a number of ARMY / RAF bases and have been trying to find this out for some time. As we have powers in the whole of England and Whales; Does this include ARMY / RAF / etc even though they have their own police or do we just police the service personnel's families? Many thanks

Hello, I have seen a few of these topics but they are all really old, I had my medical on 5th Jan 15 and despite having a signed form from the optician to say I have met the required standard (I actually scored better) I have been referred to HR. I have a lazy left eye which is blurry but I have passed the field of vision test and I am not entirely blind in it, my right eye compensates for it. The nurse couldn't say what the result would be of the referral but I am guessing it will either be them handing me a start date or telling me its a no. Does anyone have any experience with this? I emailed Derby HR (they are dealing with recruitment) but they wouldn't say because i…

Does anyone work out of Loughborough station? If so what is it like? Is there a general shift pattern? What are the typical Policing issues in the area?

Hello Leicestershire, I am a PC trainer in the North West looking at developing our existing SC training programme. How are SC's trained in your force? How many days trainer-student contact? How many days PST? How are you finding the new e-learning training compared to traditional face to face? Cheers :-)
