Hertfordshire Constabulary

Hello neighbours, I'm on holiday for another two weeks but I have just been 'warned' to attend St Albans CC regarding an arrest tasking I did for your CID ages back. However the warning doesn't have much information. Has anyone been to this CC, if so are you aware if parking is available at all?

Is anyone else here going to be on the June PCSO intake for Herts police? I just found out I passed a couple of days ago, how exciting! :D

So it was with interest that I read this morning (15th April 2014), that our Chief Officer Dave Tewkesbury has thrown in the towel in pursuit of a normal life without the pressure and time demands the role of SC brings. I feel this just goes to highlight the fact that we are hurtling headlong into a situation whereby the demands of both being a Special and Supervisor, take on an almost 'second job' status. It is the intention of government to integrate the SC more and more into daily policing in much the same vein that they are with the TA (Army Reservists as they are now to be known). Just thought I'd post this about the pinned topic from Vader, as it doesn't mention the status of the CKP test for the county. I've been told from various officers at my college visit about the CKP that it is no longer required to join, but completing it will increase pay grade from roughly £19,000 to roughly £24,000. Also been told that applying as a special at 18 (given a year or so's waiting time) is a viable choice to make while doing the CKP; one of the staff there said he currently had 3 special constables doing the CKP test, I'll assume they're roughly 19 or 20. Evenin' all... again. I thought it'd be a bit more productive and easier for me to create one thread for my odd little questions I ask every now and then. Don't mind me Hertfordshire people - just visiting with a quick question. I got passed by a vehicle this morning coming into Letchworth which was sort of half marked/half not and I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on it. It was a black estate - no obvious side markings but the back was hatched with orange and yellow stripes in a V pattern. It had one of those flat light bars on the roof and was on blues and sirens when it passed me. Just curious that's all.

has anyone herd any thing about the new warant card holders? its been ages since there was a "ask the exec" on the matter i have herd roomers that we will get ones that have our warant numbers stamped in them?

Just wanted to pop a quick question in to the regulars on the ol' Herts beat, I must say that when I've been out and about I've NEVER seen a custodian on any of the county's officers. I've been in direct contact with the police a couple of times, and I've never seen them wearing a custodian. Are they even standard issue in our county anymore? Only one I've ever seen is on the force's website... Found this on an old collector's site by the way, but this one's a vintage that got sold to a collector apparently.
