Gwent final interview presentation
by Kiaora *- 0 replies

Hello!! Hope someone can possibly help me... I have a final interview with Gwent in a couple of weeks and have a presentation which requires me to make some personal suggestions as to how I would help the force tackle certain issues (obviously I don't want to go too deeply into the presentation I've been given for obvious reasons), I must stress I'm not looking for answers or anything like that, but if anyone has any advice about the practicality and scope of what is an acceptable suggestion I'd be eternally grateful! This is my second presentation in a couple of months I failed final interview for WYP a couple of months ago and really don't want my months …

Hi, so I have just passed my interview for Gwent Police (also had a presentation and group activity), and it's another step towards the goal! Just wanted to find out who else on here is applying to Gwent, and how it has gone for you? In particular there were a few guys who transferred from West Mercia Police, and if your on here drop me a message! (Interview was on Monday 5th December, and we were in the group activity) So next will be my medical I believe, and then the fitness test? (Correct me if I'm wrong) But does anyone have info on the next training start date? I was told at interview that it could be February, but that could just be a guess.

Family Section of Application
by welshrookie *- 1 reply

Hello Chaps, I've just done my final interview stage. Am now doing the usual panic on vetting. The application form family section words it as family that live with you, along with a list of family members you should declare (stepmother etc). As such I've only declared my brother, mother, father and myself as we live together and they are my immediate family. I'm starting to read nightmare stories of people being rejected because they haven't declared a distant uncle they no longer see. I didn't declare my uncle, auntie or grandparents because the form did not stipulate a requirement to do so and there was no prompt to declare them on …

Hi all! Background: Special for 1 year in Avon and Somerset SOLAP 90% complete as at 10/11/2016 I'm just hoping the people of Policespecials.com can answer some questions on the Gwent special constabulary as I'm in the process of applying to transfer. I live in Newport but I've been specialing in A&S and I'm now looking at working closer to home as I really feel I'd enjoy it even more if it was local to where I grew up and still live. It's been a year and I still ask for PNC checks and I don't know what street I'm on! If anyone could answer the below, and maybe a little more, I'd be very very grateful: Is there a good relationship between the specials and regs i…

Welcome one and all. Please feel free to start discussing matters relating to Gwent Police/Heddlu Gwent. Do remember of course everything in here is still publicly available and viewable, but you can investigate 'safe areas' where on payment of a fee a separate room can be bought and set up. Whilst still subject to Police Community expectations, rules and regulations, it will be hidden from public view and available only to affirmed Gwent Police/Heddlu Gwent officers and staff.

Are there any active members here who are currntly serving in this force? Currently been living in Wales for almost 3 years and in that time period, Gwent Police have not opened their recruitment once (as far as I'm aware), which is crazy. Is there any update as to when (more like IF) recruitment will open?
