Hi, i need help, If i fail the security vetting would they stop the whole process there and then? Or carry on? Reason i ask, i had vetting get in touch about a silly caution i received as a kid. i explained and they just said....EXPLENATION NOTED AND VETTING WILL PROCEED? Any ideas

Hi, I applied to join the Specials (SWP) back in April. Did not here anything for a while, then i called them a few months later and they said that my application was on hold as recruitment was frozen. I called them again mid December and they said that the recruitment process was due to start again and they were waiting for the go ahead. Does anyone know when the process will restart? Thank You.

Hello, Does anyone know when they are going to be taking on any more PCSO's in Gwent i know that money is tight at this hard time, but i was wondering if anyone knows if there are plans to recruit any time soon. And if there are any Gwent PCSO's on this forum, are they planning to cut any PCSO positions which i think would be a great loss. Also i would like to know what are the general feelings about PCSO's from a SC or PC point of view Thanks Welshy

Hey everyone Got a letter confirming my 2nd interview date which is Thursday 28th of this month. It followed after me pestering and calling the force then I shortly received my letter. They explained that the top 20 were being called in. I score 77% so not sure where this stands. Anyone else been called? Nervous!!!

Hi everyone, im hoping i could get some good information here. Back in 2007 i applied for the special constabulary in gloucestershire and passed the recruitement test, interview, medical and was then given a start date, 2 days later i get another letter saying my application has been rejected at the vetting stage. I thought i'd leave it a while and apply again. I wrote to them 2 weeks ago to ask if i can reapply and today i was told that the origional decision still stands and i am not allowed to apply for any post within gloucestershire constabulary ever again. Hi, I just wondered whether anyone has heard anything about the AC in September - is it still going ahead, especially now that the budget is out? All it says on the website is that they're not recruting until 2011 and I rang recruitment a few weeks ago and asked about my application (transfered CBQ score from A&S in May) and the response was that they haven't read them yet and they couldn't tell me when they'd let us know by...!
