Anyone know when they are expecting to have new intakes? i heard they are looking for over 100 new officers and have 2nd interviews going on now and a september A/C there was a may A/C and those of us left are on the drug test stage having passed everything apart from vetting and references. so if any1 knows maybe when they are taking on / provisional start dates and how it would work for us who are so far ahead of those who are just starting

Hi guys I was wondering if there were any Gwent officers on here who could give me some info, as I am considering a move from South wales police. Would any of you recommend it as a force to work for? Is it true you have station process teams who deal with all prisoners and responce officers don't even have workloads? How does it work with shifts, stations etc, I am particulary interested in working the Monmouth area.

Hi guys. This is my first post on here. I was just wondering if there were any others out there in the same boat as me still waiting for confirmation of a second interview date? I was told that I was not allocated an initial interview date due to the high numbers that passed, but they would be in touch once they identify further dates. Does anyone have any information as to when these dates may be? Thanks very much, and congratulations to those that passed assessment and second interview

Afternoon all, First post on here, and I've just requested my current force to transfer my application to Gwent. With my current force I'd passed my assessment centre, final interview and fitness however there was an indefinite delay on a start date, and I was worrying about getting my application cancelled after my assessment results expire. I've been advised by Gwent that I'd need to do an interview, fitness and medical with them. The only worrying part is the interview....could any people who've had an interview with Gwent advise me? What sort of interview is it? Panel? Is it competency based? Or a more general sort of interview? How long is it? Do they let y…

Hi All, Anyone else get a letter from Gwent Police recruitment informing of the next A/C date? Received the letter this morning. Applied in late 2009. Unfortunately didn't get the first A/C date, but have been asked about my interest in the next one. I emailed them back today, hopefully I can get on the next one! Regards Dave

According to the Caerphilly edition of the free paper 'Campaign', Gwent police are set to recruit over the next 9 months, which is in contradiction to their website site which says no recruitment to 2011. Was wondering if anybody had heard any different, or had any light to shed on the matter

I had my fitness test this week, i passed!! I found the bleep test to be harder than some on this forum claimed.. definitely not a walking pace, more of a gentle jog at the start, and I was definitely breathing heavily by the end!
