Anyone have any idea what the medical consists of? Is it just eyesight and hearing test or is there more to it than that? e.g. blood tests etc.

Hello, Im currently an SC with IPS and a driver, but I'd like to transfer back to Gwent Police. I know they're not directy recruiting off the street at present, but are they taking on transfers ? Do Gwent SCs still have the SC and Crowns, or have they gone down the dedicated number prefix? Also does anyone have a point of contact email address for the Specials Recruitment team or the co ordinator on Newport division please? Ta. Bluebird.

Hi all, Been an avid internet user for many years but over the last few months I've looked at joining as a special in Gwent (South Wales as well) as both forces are within my region, anyway. Back in 1987 I was a foolish young boy who commited a crime (theft by employee) and received a 2 week jail sentance, thats 24 years ago and spent, will I have to make said forces aware of said conviction as its now way spent? also had some speeding fines etc. Are gwent strict on there because 3 years ago I called Gwents receuit dept and explained to them and they said not a chance in hell, didn't ask South Wales. Any pointers! Regards.

Hello, Im a Special with an English Force who is looking to transfer back down to Gwent Police in the next few months, but would like some information on the force.
