Essex Police

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone from Easter Division could shed some light on the shift pattern. I have heard that it is the 7 days on 2 days off pattern in Colchester and not the 6 days on 4 days off pattern. Is this true as I have only found that out with a quick google search. Also would all of Eastern Division use the same shifts? Thanks in advance Carl

Hi ya, Just wondered once you've passed your medical at Essex aren't you meant to get a letter of confirmation to say that you've passed?

Hi Ya Guys, Those of you who have got their start date, did you get this on the day of your medical or did you have to wait a while?

Hi ya, Does anyone know if while your training you can take a holiday or not? Also anyone know about accommodation while training? Thanks

Hi I rang recruitment today!!!...................I rang to change a detail and to find out any start dates? The person i spoke to was really helpful and nice.....until..................'Can you give me a rough start date or month please?'. to which i got a reply of 'No...Sorry'..'bye'. as short and sharp as that, i passed medical only 2 weeks ago but thought as i was ringing them i'd just ask. so if anyone does ring recruitment and gets a rough date or month (if you dare to ask!) please reply to me and let me know thanks alot andy

Well, i passed my Medical on the 1st June 2008 and today recieved a letter from Essex Police explaining how delighted they were at the level of response from the latest recruitment drive. They are continuing to appoint Police Officers and want to increase numbers by an additional 600 by March 2013! However it may be sometime before we are in a position to approach you with an offer. It then asks if i would let them know if i no longer wish to continue application!! I'm thinking transfering my application from Suffolk to get in quicker may have been a wrong move!! How frustrating is it!!!!!
