I've had a start date for 6th March & wondered if anyone else has on here. A&S are doing a lot of recruiting at the moment, so there must be someone else on here!

I'm keen to give the bleep test a trial run before I do it for real on Sunday (eek!). I haven't run since May and have been told specifically not to run while undergoing physio for a hip injury so I'm a little worried! I know the required minimum level is 4 shuttles at level 5, but is it 4 shuttles at each level before going to the next, or 7? I've looked at several bleep test apps and they all go to 7 shuttles before increasing to the next level, so was just looking for a little clarification before I give it a trial run. Thank you!

Hello all, Been a while, hope all of you in training is still going to plan as the few already on the beat. Thought I'd update on my situation, actually moving back to mk next month (was going to be sooner as having a rough time with the partner) I actually now have my bedfordshire police assessment lined up for April, was suppose to be this month but of course I am not back that way yet. I have also recieved an email from BTP asking me in for an interview/ fitness a few days after next month, although I do need to once again change to April if possible. Can anyone give me a rough idea of how long they waited between their assessment centre and their fitness test, aimed more towards those that have done it more recently? Thanks!

Evening all, I have a bit of an interesting question regarding recruitment. 2 forces local to me are currently recruiting and I am interested in both. I understand that the SEARCH centre can only be attended once every 6 months and my question is... Could I initially apply to both forces and see if I am lucky enough to reach SEARCH with one of them with a view to then stopping one of the applications to proceed with the second? I have sustained an injury in my current job and as a result currently take prescribed painkillers which are opiod based. I understand that during recruitment a drug test is likely to be conducted and I am sure that it will likely show my prescribed medication - is this OK? Has anybody ever encountered this situation? Having been reading through this forum since registering my interested back in December, I found this forum to be no end of help! All seems to have died down a bit now unfortunately so i'm hoping I'll get a response! I've been told provisional training dates having been told I had gotten my security clearances through from the vetting department. However, it was made clear to me that these dates were only provisional. Can someone tell me how long roughly it takes to receive the formal offer and how I will receive it e.g. via email or post. Many thanks!
