Afternoon all Many of us are aware that applying to two police forces to be an officer is mostly a no-no - for the most part it appears that you can't apply to two forces that use the SEARCH assessment, but sometimes (depending on the force policy) you can apply for, say, BTP and a HO force simultaneously due to their differing assessments. To take this a step further, does anyone know if you're allowed to apply for Police Scotland and a HO force from England? I say this because Police Scotland don't use the SEARCH assessment. I will followup with an email to HR but just wondered if anyone knew off-hand. Thanks a lot
Does anyone know if being a Special Constable is compatible with volunteering as an instructor in the Army Cadet Force? I know there is certain eligibility criteria about the forces but wondered whether that extends to the ACF as volunteers are registered with the MOD
Hi there Straight off the bat, I know that applying to two forces as a Reg is a no-go. However, I noticed something that leads me to believe that an application to BTP and MDP may be possible. BTP from what I understand do not use the SEARCH assessment, whereas MDP do. MDP's site says: "You may only apply to one Police Force at a time if those Forces require candidates to undertake the SEARCH®." Would this mean, by some twisted logic, that it would be okay in theory to apply to both these forces simultaneously as a regular? Thanks.
