Major Winters' experiences with his company during several key battles in Europe were documented in Stephen Ambrose's book 'Band of Brothers', which was made into a highly-acclaimed HBO tv series in 2001. He died on 2nd January, but by his own instructions news of his passing was only made public after his interrment. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-12158637 Rest easy, sir. Hi all, Just pondering this one recently. After looking for a new car ive come across the possiblity of leasing and was wondering if any of you have experience with leasing a vehicle as opposed to financing and owning outright. From what ive seen leasing a car is relatively cheaper on a monthly basis than any equivalent finance deal. Are there any benefits of one over the other for someone who isnt really bothered about owning a vehicle, just having one as a convienience to get around with. Regards

Someone sent this link to me. Whether you're interested in gay rights or not is academic, but it shows just how much things change, everything stays the same. Though it has been edited I think the nub is preserved. To my mind it was almost like Cameron went in thinking he'd trounce an 'amateur' interviewer and came unstuck. .

You couldn't make this up! Will they A) Stone the bird to death, B) Chop his wings off! Saudi Arabian officials have "detained" a vulture on accusations of being a spy for Israel, media reports say. The griffon vulture was carrying a GPS transmitter bearing the name of Tel Aviv University, prompting rumours it was part of a Zionist plot. Israeli wildlife officials dismissed the claims as ludicrous and expressed concern about the bird's fate. Last month, Egyptian officials implied the Israeli spy agency Mossad was to blame for shark attacks off its coast. The vulture, which can have a wing span of up to 265cm (8ft 8in), was caught after it landed in the desert city o…
