http://www.avonandso...490&t=4&lid=0 here is one PCC who is on her 'very high horse' already. She obviously doesn't like the Chief Constable who I know well and is one of the best. Shame when an arrogant woman like Mountstevens lets her ego get the better of her. I wonder how many more will leave because of PCC's. Read - statement from Chief Constable.

Regional Fed chair voices concerns over administration of arrangements after officer is seriously injured.A review of single crewing risk management arrangements is needed after an officer was pummelled up to 30 times with his own CS spray canister, the Fed has said. Neil Bowles, Chairman of South Yorkshire branch board, said risk assessments needed to be more rigorous after the 34-year-old PC was repeatedly struck during an altercation in a Rotherham pub, suffering a deep laceration to his head. He also said one response shift currently had five officers on sick leave as a result of injuries suffered during assaults and he had now spoken to the district commander about…

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/tvandradio/9657521/Anger-as-Nadine-Dorries-agrees-to-appear-on-Im-A-Celebrity...-Get-Me-Out-Of-Here.html I think this just shows how the quality of MP's had deteriorated over the years. I hope she has her salary docked for the time she is away from her duties as an MP. Mind you, she has never been known for her intelligence, and was at the back of the queue when the brains were handed out. Pity she can't take MP Chris Bryant with her, he would love it in the jungle flouncing around in just his Y Fronts. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-20217901

THREE murder investigations and the death of a pensioner after an arson attack have left North Wales detectives struggling to cope. Chief constable Mark Polin told the final ever meeting of the police authority that the “detective pot” was close to empty as the region has been rocked by a raft of serious cases over the last month. http://www.dailypost.co.uk/news/north-wales-news/2012/11/21/murder-investigations-stretch-north-wales-police-to-limit-55578-32273791/ Great to see the Police highlighting the impact of the cuts on the Force!

Debate on Police Pensions Tabled by Keith Vaz Next Week The Police Federation is encouraging officers to lobby their MPs as a debate on police pensions is set to take place in Westminster next week which could help ensure their voices are heard. Keith Vaz, chair of the Home Affairs Committee, has tabled the discussion on police pensions for a Westminster Hall debate next Wednesday, November 28, which will enable MPs to speak on the issue and be answered by a government minister responsible for pensions. Simon Reed, vice-chair of the Police Federation, said this would give officers an ‘invaluable’ opportunity. He added: “This is a chance for officers to voice…

Getting arrested for making the figures look good ? http://www.guardian....-irregularities Actually arrested and stuck in a cell? Im not saying its right and I could tell you some stories but when the hell did this become something that you lose your liberty for. Surely every pro-active acquisitive crime team in the country will be nicked next. I tell you what just bin TIC'S and charge them with EVERYTHING. and we have a whole beat team getting sacked...and some arrested for probably doing what some of us did on occasion back in the day. Trust me I didnt, paranoid as hell for fear of this sort of reaction. http://www.dailymail...ng-TV-duty.html
