Speculation over absence mounts as Tom Winsor turns down committee invitations.A question mark is hanging over whether Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Constabulary Tom Winsor will appear in front of thousands of officers at the Police Federation of England and Wales annual conference this year. PoliceOracle.com can reveal Mr Winsor, the first non-officer to take on the £200,000 a year role, has declined invitations to appear on stage at the Fed’s Inspectors and Constables Central Committee conferences due to a prior engagement. Both sessions will take place in Bournemouth on the morning of Tuesday May 14. It remains unclear whether he will attend the rest of the "full"…

N-Dubz rapper Dappy has been given a six-month suspended sentence for a brawl he sparked at a petrol station. The singer broke down in tears and shouted "yes" at Guildford Crown Court as the sentence was delivered, after he was found guilty of assault and affray at an earlier hearing. He was also ordered to pay £4,500 in compensation and £2,000 in costs. The 25-year-old had faced a maximum sentence of three years in prison. The trial was told that Dappy, charged under his real name of Costadinos Contostavlos, was out celebrating the release of his new single on February 27 last year. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-21516243 Very funny news indeed. Not for the economy though........... Talk about cooking the books. The Chancellor included the results of the 4G auction in his Autumn Statement in December - to the tune of £3.5 billion. It helped make his figures balance. Which would have been well and good but the auction has only just happened - and raked in £2.34 billion. So our Chancellor is now 'missing' £1.16 billion........calculator not required.... For a bloke who should be good with numbers and accounting, I'm not sure he's very good at it. Surely you don't base your finances on the sale of something that hasn't yet happened? Seems …
