A mother and son (I think it was) have just been rescued on the Llanberis Pass. It was reported, yet again, that they were ill prepared to take on such a climb with the clothing (or lack of it) they had on. They were lucky in that they were eventually rescued by a very brave rescue team, which of course included the rescue helicopter. Anyone who has any knowledge of such areas should know to be very well equipped, or even not to embark on such a thing in extreme weather. It is for that reason that I think that anyone who DOES do such a thing, should be given a pretty hefty bill at the end of it all. This may prevent such things happening in the future. Those rescue teams …

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2298222/Police-slam-BBC-series-branded-real-life-Shameless-Claim-docusoap-exaggerates-crime-Manchester-estate.html Surely Fahy has enough brains to know that the BBC would put the 'slant' on the programme that suited them. If the police watched the programme before hand, why didn't they complain at the time instead of letting it go out with many misconceptions and innuendoes. He obviously had some misconceptions as he says he reluctantly let the programme go ahead in the first place. I wonder what his PCC will make of this, no doubt go running to the Home Sec with a few tales.

The National Trans Police Association (NTPA) called on Police Scotland, which replaces existing constabularies on April 1, to demonstrate its commitment to inclusive policing. Carol Mapley, the head of the association's Scottish committee, said transgender people would be more confident about reporting abuse and discrimination if the police recruited more officers from the community. She sai…

I don't know whether or not it's me, but I find the financial situation there quite worrying. I seem to remember from the history books that something very similar happened in Western Europe in around 1936, and look what that led to. It's possible if the news announcements are correct, that people in Southern Europe may start withdrawing their deposits and if that happens, I wonder if the fear will spread to other non-zone countries. I sincerely hope not. I am amazed that any government can simply 'take' money from depositors without any authority. Rhetorical question, could it happen here, fingers crossed, it will not.

If he had stood up against the Junta, he would have no doubt been found dead with his Mitre stuck up his jacksy after a short while.
