Surprised to see no comment on here regarding the latest Lawrence witch-hunt, then again perhaps I'm not. According to one of our senior officers I should be 'shocked and saddened' by decisions made 20 years ago that had absolutely nothing to do with me. Why? I also note the nasty party are using it as an excuse to create a vindictive unique offence of police corruption. Funny how politicians are allowed to commit all kinds of criminal offences, without recourse even to the apparently outdated Misconduct in Public Office, but police officers must be crucified for their misdemeanours. Why the hell do we bother? Last one out turn off the blue lamp.

TWO hundred patrons of Cap’n Senny’s were kept inside the building on Saturday night as 12 police officers with two drugs dogs swooped on the nightspot. No one was allowed to leave or enter during the unannounced inspection which was part of the Nightsafe regime. Nightsafe is operated under the Pubwatch system which aims to ensure Whitehaven’s night-time economy is safe and being run in a proper manner. The officers arrived just after midnight, at the club’s busiest time on its busiest night of the week to check for any problems. Manager Chris Pool was happy to report none were found, no presence of drugs, no under-age drinkers and that all licensing conditions were be…

A police marksman has lost his High Court bid to challenge a public inquiry finding that he used excessive force when he killed a robbery suspect. Last year an inquiry decided there was "no lawful justification" for the marksman to have shot Azelle Rodney six times in 2005. But lawyers for the officer, known as E7, said the finding was "irrational". E7 was seeking permission for a judicial review over the inquiry's conclusions. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-26365510

Anti-fracking activists will continue to demonstrate at a camp in West Sussex as the cost of policing the operation is revealed. The cost of policing the increasing number of protesters at a test drilling site in West Sussex has reached nearly £750,000. Sussex Police revealed the sum while officers from 10 other forces were drafted in to help with policing the protest, which began last month. Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner Katy Bourne said the force would now ask for help from the Government in meeting the growing bill. "While Sussex Police continues to facilitate peaceful protest at the site in an appropriate and proportionate manner, the recent involvement of natio…

A 12-year-old boy who raped his seven-year-old sister after watching hardcore pornography on the internet has avoided a custodial sentence. The boy, now 13, pleaded guilty to rape, two counts of indecent assault and inciting a child to engage in sexual activity. Blackburn Youth Court heard he had viewed pornography with friends and gained "a desire to try it out". Social workers are working to return him to the family home soon. 'Disgusted' The boy is currently living away from the family home but in a victim impact statement his sister said she wanted him to return. "I feel sad what [he] did," she said. "I want him to go to our house so I can play games with him. I…

A 26-year-old woman has become the first person in the country to be banned from entering an entire borough after being labelled one of Merton's most prolific motor vehicle thieves. Victoria Bunton, of no fixed address, received a three-year anti-social behaviour order (ASBO) at Wimbledon Magistrates' court on Monday, February 24. Exasperated police persuaded magistrates to issue the order after suffering fourteen years of the unemployed offender's anti-social behaviour in Merton. The young woman has more than 50 convictions. Ms Bunton is forbidden from entering any vehicle which doesn't belong to her family, entering any pawn shop or goods exchange in London withou…

Police to be told not to confer before writing up notes http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-26446913 My first reaction to this is that it is another rule for police which won't apply to the public and that this, and the mooted end to our right to silence when being investigated, strips away rights and conventions afforded to 99% of the public. It will also be interesting to read the guidelines and to see how they'll work in practice. How will they decide when the purdah will start and finish and just how practicable will the guidelines be to enforce? I wonder if this will apply to civilian witnesses as well because its not as if civis ever get together and adjust t…

Police say law prevents them from regarding knife-wielding robber as a suspect - instead, man in picture is merely "man they would like to speak with" Police won't name won't call him a suspect to protect his human rights Photo: BNPS By Agencies 11:44AM GMT 03 Mar 2014 Police asking for the public to identify an armed robber whose face was completely concealed aren't treating him as a suspect in case it breaches his human rights. The man pulled down a black woollen beanie hat over his face so it was completely hidden before raiding a Labdrokes betting shop in West Moors, Dorset. Although nothing whatsoever can be seen of his face, optimistic police are askin…

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-26371753 - At last we have a Judge in Guy Boney QC who has handed out a decent prison term for this Scumbag who killed the two girls. Perhaps he could give Judge Keith Cutler some advice on how to do his job.

Ian McGraw, 26, kicked off his terrifying frenzy of violence as police tried to arrest him for throwing a firework into a playpark in Galston, Ayrshire. Police were stunned by McGaw's savagery A crazed thug throttled a policeman until he passed out and threw other officers around “like rag dolls” in a terrifying frenzy of violence. Ian McGaw, 26, fought off SIX cops even after he was sprayed twice with CS gas. And after the police finally managed to restrain him, he buckled his handcuffs so badly they could no longer be used. McGaw went berserk as police tried to arrest him for throwing a firework into a playpark in Galston, Ayrshire. Officers found him with a group…
