http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/04/25/prosecutors-slammed-after-allowing-violent-thug-to-plead-guilty/ Incredible. It's sad that this innocent man was so violently assaulted and will live with brain damage yet the perpetrator gets away with possibly less than a year in jail. The CPS dropped a bombshell by not informing the police, at least they could have prepared the family somewhat. Sent from my D2303 using Tapatalk

On Thursday 5 May, voters in England and Wales will choose their police and crime commissioners (PCCs) for the next four years. The only exceptions are in London, where policing will be the responsibility of the newly elected mayor, and in Greater Manchester, where the current PCC will continue in his role until a mayor is elected in 2017. The first PCCs were elected in November 2012. The system - which replaced police authorities - is now firmly embedded, and the consensus is it will be here for many years to come. So how have PCCs managed to make their mark? PCCs have brought about a sense that "the buck stops here". A named individual in each area is now responsibl…

http://www.standard.co.uk/news/crime/jailed-man-whose-gun-went-off-during-violent-struggle-with-police-nearly-killing-pc-a3231466.html Am I hearing it right? Seven years for shooting a police officer in the chest 'by accident'. He was actually 'trying to get the gun out of circulation'. So it's the polices fault in essence as if they hadn't got involved then everything would have been hunky dorey and he'd have destroyed it. Do the courts really buy this stuff? Also, is the judge suggesting that so long as we exercise the highest duty of responsibility whilst carrying a loaded hand gun it's OK then? Bizzare. Sent from my D2303 using Tapatalk

Pulled over: The incident was filmed in Kennington Park Road Clockwise Cycling An angry policeman pulled over a cyclist who chose not to ride in a nearby cycle superhighway because it was busy. Video which appears to have been filmed in Kennington Park Road at around 10am yesterday morning, was published on YouTube by a cycling instructor, who was stopped by the visibly annoyed officer. After addressing the policeman as "mate", the cyclist is immediately told "I'm not your mate" before being advised he should have pulled over sooner, the footage seems to show. Pointing back down the road, the policeman seems to tell him: "There's a cycle highway there for you. For …

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-eu-referendum-36123492 "Mrs May contested claims by Leave campaigner and cabinet minister Michael Gove that EU membership means the UK cannot control its borders, saying the UK is not in the border-free Schengen area and "can stop people entering" the country." So we can. We just don't. Presumably because it's too hard. And once they're here, and we know that they're criminals, we don't make them leave.........because............... You see. If we can control our borders, and decide that we don't want foreign criminals to live amongst us, then we should pop them on a boat, or a plane, and make them leave. Unless, of c…
