Emergency services attended the scene A man has been left with facial injuries after two people on a moped threw an unknown liquid at him in London's Knightsbridge. The Met Police said the 47-year-old man was attacked in Walton Place at about 20:30 BST by "two males" on a moped. The force said the man had been taken to a central London hospital but has since been discharged. A spokesperson said it was not yet known if the liquid thrown was a corrosive substance. Iryan Brown was filmed by a member of the public wielding the two-foot long blade on Printing House Street, Birmingham. Police received a number of 999 calls and the video footage shows two unarmed officers chasing the 20-year-old. They managed to disarm him and both have gone on to receive Chief Constable's Commendations. Police were pelted with fireworks as they tried to break up a large late-night party which turned violent on the streets of south London. A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured by a car being chased by police in south London. The Independent Police Complaints Commission has opened an investigation into what it described as a “terrible incident”. It said police had been pursuing a silver Toyota Corolla after it failed to stop at about 1.15pm last Thursday. A 20-year-old man has died after being chased by police and apprehended in a shop in east London. A Metropolitan Police officer pursued the man on foot after they attempted to stop a car in Kingsland Road at 1.45am on Saturday, the force said.
