    Twelve police vans lined a street in Whitechapel amid a massive drugs raid. Stepney Green police said warrants were carried out on three venues in Hessel Street, Whitechapel earlier this week. Six people were arrested after a “large amount” Class A drugs, cannabis and cash was seized by officers.     A Scotland Yard officer took to Twitter today to tell how he arrested a woman at Notting Hill Carnival after she slapped him on the backside. Inspector Owen Pyle of Southwark police told of his ordeal online following the incident, which happened at Notting Hill Carnival on Monday.     A pedestrian was mown down by a car in Regent Street in the early hours of Monday. The car was being pursued by police at the time of the collision, which happened at about 4.30am. Three people in the car were also injured. All four people were taken to hospital but their current conditions are unknown.     A traffic warden left a parking ticket on a police car while an on duty officer responded to a call about a "vulnerable" man. Officers from Nottinghamshire Police were parked outside a shopping centre in Beeston following reports of a man in need of assistance, a spokesman said.     Return to News National Crime Agency investigators have discovered what they believe to be a sophisticated gun factory on an industrial estate in Hailsham, East Sussex. On Saturday evening officers from the NCA’s Armed Operations Unit were deployed to Hailsham as part of a live investigation. Officers heard loud bangs consistent with gunshots emanating from inside an industrial unit on Diplocks Way.
