Two rogue police officers have been jailed for sabotaging child abuse investigations at a "crisis-hit" unit. 40-year Dutch man charged with drug offences after cocaine seizure. 11 May 2019 A 40-year Dutch man has appeared at Grimsby Magistrates Court this morning (Saturday 11 May) charged with drug offences after 35 kilos of cocaine were found hidden in a lorry he was driving. Hendrik van der Genugten was stopped by Border Force officers on Thursday 9 May as he arrived at Humberside Sea Terminal, having travelled from the Hook of Holland. A search of the lorry revealed a concealment in the rear doors and officers found 35 kilo blocks of the class A drug. NCA officers obtain orders on nine properties in Northern Ireland 8 May 2019 Officers from the National Crime Agency working as part of the Paramilitary Crime Task Force (PCTF) have obtained a Property Freezing Order over nine residential properties in County Down and County Antrim under the Proceeds of Crime Act. Guns being made from scratch at factory discovered by NCA 8 May 2019 Two men have been jailed for a combined 29-and-a-half years for conspiring to sell handguns made at an illegal gun factory in East Sussex. The factory in Diplocks Way, Hailsham, was uncovered in August 2018 after an operation led by officers from the National Crime Agency. It is believed to be the first time a criminal gun factory of this nature has been found by UK law enforcement. Thirty-eight men and two women are being investigated by the National Crime Agency in connection with serious child sexual abuse and exploitation offences in Rotherham. 08 May 2019 As part of the latest investigation, which falls under Operation Stovewood, the individuals aged between 29 and 53, from Sheffield, Rotherham, Leeds, Dewsbury and Maidstone (Kent), have been arrested or interviewed by appointment over the last two months.
