Police guide sets dress standards A police force has banned officers from having designer stubble and using mobile phones in public. Norfolk Constabulary has given all officers a "modern" behaviour guide and appearance code. They are told to be "polite and courteous", dress "appropriately", and not keep their hands in their pockets. A dog nicknamed Scooby has become the first animal in the world to appear as a witness in a murder trial. The animal is believed to have been with his 59-year-old owner when she was found hanging from the ceiling of her Paris flat. Police believe it was suicide but her family demanded a murder investigation, reports the Daily Telegraph. During a preliminary hearing the pet was led into the witness box by a vet to see how it reacted to a suspect. It is said to have "barked furiously". Sir Ian is being threatened with a vote of no confidence in his leadership The National Black Police Association (NBPA) also threatened a recruitment boycott after Assistant Commissioner Tarique Ghaffur was relieved of duties. Rocket grenade attack on police Army technical experts are at the scene Three police officers have been treated for severe shock and minor injuries after a rocket attack in Fermanagh. BT's Mayfair exchange was robbed last night, leaving thousands of homes and businesses in central London without internet access this morning. The raid cleaned out routers, networking cards and fibre at about 9.30pm on Wednesday, Reg sources said. According to data at Samknows, the exchange serves about 3,000 residential premises and 4,200 non-residential premises. A BT spokesman confirmed police are investigating "an incident" at its Mayfair site, which is in Farm Street, near Park Lane. COPS spent £100,000 trying to adapt a helmet to fit over a Sikh officer’s turban after he accused them of discrimination. The row flared when the PC applied to join the crack counter-terrorist Operational Support Unit. Senior officers turned him down because normal protective helmets and gasmasks would not fit over his turban and beard.
