When vandals damaged Andy Bevan's car, he thought he was doing the sensible thing by visiting his local police station to report the attack. Sikh police officers who wear turbans cannot join firearms teams, following a ruling from the Association of Chief Police Officers (Acpo). http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8639432.stm Its nice to see a sensible guideline comming from acpo though. They can wear the smaller patka which fits under a helmet, seems like a 30 second conversation with a Sikh would have solved that problem.
