Hi everyone, I've managed to get through the assessment centre and have now booked my medical assessment for next week! I've looked at the information sheet they sent me, but it doesn't state what they're expecting me to wear. It does say "You may be required to be medically assessed, so please wear the appropriate clothing", although 'appropriate clothing' isn't defined. Is it just a case of dress comfortably, or are they expecting smart dress? Thanks for your help!

Friday 22 January, 2016 Visually impaired people contacting West Yorkshire Police now have an improved method to check the identity of police officers attending at their properties, and reduce the risk of letting a bogus officer into the property. Usually, when officers attend a property they have a warrant card to identify themselves to the householder and prove they are who they claim to be. For visually impaired people, however, this isn’t always practical. After speaking to members of the visually-impaired community as part of a Force Visual Impairment Working Group, a new way of working has been established. Now, when someone comes to the door of a visually impai…

Thursday, 21 January, 2016 Latest figures show overall recorded crime in West Yorkshire has risen, largely due to the continued impact of changes in how West Yorkshire Police records crime. Much of the increase, revealed in figures out today from the Office for National Statistics, results from more consistent recording processes in line with the National Crime Recording Standard. Previously, while crimes were being properly investigated, they were not always recorded correctly, particularly at the initial stage. With crime having fallen for the 11th consecutive year in 2014/15, the figures show that overall recorded crime has risen by 18.9% in the 12 months from Septemb…

Good Evening, I have applied for a role of an investigator which is currently available, anyone have any information on the recruitment process for such roles? I am only at shortlisting stage so may not get anywhere near, but I am doing my research early. Do they do assessments like Constables as it's more of an administration job as oppose to being a regular officer does anyone know? Many thanks Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
