Hi guys! So yesterday I got the email informing me I'd pass the assessment to join WYP as a regular! I've got an email today saying I have a final interview to attend at the end of the month. I'm just wondering if anybody has any idea of what kind of interview it is? I've heard different things from different people on the structure of it. Congrats to everyone who passed! Danielle

Hello I have recently passed the final interview ( Yey!) and I have a book that I have used which I found really helpful. I would like to give it away to someone else that is about to go through the same. I actually have 2 as they sent me it twice. The book is called 'How 2 become a Police Officer' By Richard McNunn. It gives you helpful tips on what to expect during the process and lots of examples. Its been my bible for the past few months. So like I say I have 2 copies if anyone wants one let me know and i'll post them out FOC. Thank Becky

Hi all, Seeking some advice really. I have passed the A/C and fitness test and have the upcoming final interview this thursday 05/05. Naturally, I'm very nervous as to what to expect as I have heard mixed reviews. Does the presentation have to be 10 minutes long, or can it be less? How soon do you find out? Is this the last hurdle in the process? Does BMI and weight/height affect the medical assesment? Wondering if anybody can offer me some much needed advice. Thanks :) Ellie xx

Hello everyone. I know similar questions have been asked before, however I'm specifically looking for information on WYP specials. My BMI is currently 34.6 and I have lost 14lbs in the last month. I am a fraction over 5ft 11 and of a stocky build. I am working on reducing my weight further and building up my fitness to give me more confidence for the recruitment process - I am just waiting to press the submit button on my application. This is an area I've been researching and I've come across mixed answers. I've read that under 34 will be accepted subject to body fat measurement and active weight loss. I've also read that 32 is the max and also 30 as the max. This is …

Hi everyone, I had my interview etc at the assessment centre last Friday (01.04.16). I'm not going to lie it was pretty traumatic. I am trying to be a bit pro active and revise for the final interview in hope that I have passed. Does anyone have any top tips or can you give me an insight into the next stage please. Thanks Becky. Hi, I've just been told that I've passed the assessment centre that I attended last Friday which im really pleased about. I am now being invited to an Inforce interview and wondered if anyone can provide me with some example questions that might be asked or advise me on how to prepare for this :) Any help would be appreciated. Hi All, I have my Regs fitness test on 25th April, and I'm just wondering what to wear... The e-mail is a bit vague, and just says ensure you have trainers, shorts, t-shirt etc with you but doesn't specifically say you should turn up in them. Basically my question is: Should I turn up in sports gear, or wear smart clothes and get changed into sports gear once I'm there? Cheers.

Hey, Just found out I passed the paper sift for WYP Specials, and was wondering if anyone could recommend books/ websites (bar the College of Policing) to try and go over SJT, written tests and potential competency questions. Any help would be greatfully received.

Tuesday 23 February 2016, 5.45pm The major collision enquiry team are continuing to investigate a fatal incident this afternoon in Bradford. The incident occurred around 1.10pm on Valley Road, where a white Scania Tipper vehicle was in collision with a young boy. The boy, who was pronounced dead at the scene is believed to have emerged in to the road between parked vehicles. A number of road closures remain in place whilst specialist officers continue to examine the scene of the collision to determine the full circumstances of what took place. Sunday, 21 February, 2016 Police were called to an address in Alder Street, Huddersfield, shortly before 2.15pm yesterday (Saturday, 20 February) after being made aware by West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service of a house fire with persons reported inside. A woman and a child, who had been in the property, had made their own way out prior to the arrival of the emergency services with fire crews removing two other children from the address. Both of these children were pronounced deceased a short time later. The children have yet to be formally identified but are believed to be two boys, aged two and three.
