Hey all! Just wondering if there's anyone else on here that's got an interview date. So excited as I had a call today informing me I've passed the PIRT and have my interview this Friday! So excited but so nervous at the same time!!!

Hey. New to the site, so here it goes. Tomorrow i will be going to bridgend for the PCSO PIRT, a little nervous but excited the same time. However, the two written tests i got tomorrow are not what im really worrying about. I am worrying about the interview afterwards, assuming i pass the tests tomorrow lol! My ap was last year and was told i was being reconsidered for PCSO now, but i cant really remember the CBQ and the answers i gave ! Now, after reading through this forum i am now bricking it for something i havnt even got to yet lol. Any advice please?? Cheers guys

I'm extremely interested in joining south wales police. But they never seem to be recruiting. When are the usual recruitment dates? I'd appreciate any help on getting into the force.

Hi all, Can anyone here advise what's happening with SWP? They never seem to recruit Specials anymore... Are there any plans to recruit in 2013? I would really like to know what's happening to SWP - Waiting for the next recruitment drive is like waiting for the second coming...

Has anyone got their fitness on mon 28th jan? Does anyone know if there is any truth In that you have two months after passing a fitness to be given a start date? Exciting times ahead hopefully

So, I've received my start date as the 12th November, anyone else on this course? Found out as well that when training is over I'll be posted to Northern BCU (Ponty/Aberdare/Merthyr). Exciting times!

Hi all I'm starting this topic as my application is currently on hold with swp. It has been known that the welsh government are providing funding for 206 new pcso My question is how long will this funding last? Will we be working on fixed term contracts? Is it worth leaving a full Time permanent job only to have no guarantees of job security. I guess the guys who are currently in training would be able to advise correctly. Many thanks.

Hi all, I am a serving PC and am now looking to transfer back to SWP for family reasons. Firstly, does any one have any idea if and when SWP will likely be looking to run a transferee course? Secondly, how many 24 response stations are there in Cardiff? and the average numbers on each response team? Cheers
