Hey guys, Just currently got short listed to become a Special Constable. I've read on other forums that it varies from force to force, just wondering what SWP take on it is, couldn't find the answer myself on the internet so i thought i'd come in here and ask see if anyone knows. I wear a beard, not too long, neat & tidy. Just asking in case I have to get rid of it before the next stage. Cheers

Anyone here registering for the October CKP? Familiarisation sessions are at the start of August. SWP now seem to be pushing the recruitment of external PC's.

Hi guys, I heard back from SWP a few days ago after I applied to be a PCSO; just wondering if anyone knows when the assessment day is likely to be, my schedule for work has been done for the next month - does anyone know how much notice they give? Thanks and good luck to anyone else going

Hi all, I am currently employed within Cwm taf local health board (NHS) as a hcsw in a busy surgical ward. I have always fancied a career in the Police force and I feel that with my experiences it is a career I could do well in. I contacted swp recruitment before the X-mas period asking if they were to be recruiting in the coming year and was told that they were working the numbers out from the previous intake then a decision would be made based on the final numbers. Has anyone heard of any recruitment plans this year? Thanking you Geraint.
