Hi I am awaiting tthe next recruitment drive and have been preparing alot. However when it comes to the application they ask about your parents and step parents. Do your parents get checked and if they have a criminal offence does it affect your application. Any help on this matter will be a great deal of help. Thanks again Huester

At the moment I belive the initial training for police officers in in Ponty. I have heard that swp have a floor all to themselves in mount pleasant campus in swansea. I also heard that the initial training will move from ponty to swansea for future officers. Any truth in this???

Hi all, overheard someone say that police officers can get good deals and discounts in certain stores or sites. Can anyone clarify this and tell us all where you can get discounts and what those deals entail? What are the best deals? where can you get them and how? does anyone know what is required on the final fitness test prior to the 14th December start,Is it the same as the last one with just the 5.4 bleep test and pull/push tests or is there more involved which can be effect you passing.

Hi, I recently missed the metropolitan pass mark of 60%, but as i understand it, the rest of the country is 50%. My question is, would i be able to present my test score of 58% to another force, or would i be required to re-sit etc!? thanks

Hi all, Anybody here starting on December 14th? Had my uniform fitting today. Really exciting!!!!! So much gear. Counting down the days, can't wait. Just an issue with parking at HQ on the 1st day as I was told by the guy at security that it would be beneficial to park at Waterton and car share over to HQ and park 1 car in the car park. Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone knows if there is going to be a recruitment drive for regular constables any time soon? looking at the policecouldyou website shows that no force in the UK is recruiting at the moment, but maybe there's someone out there who has some inside knowledge? or even just something from the rumour mill. thanks
